Psychologist (Supervised Practice)

Dr. Emily is a child and adolescent Psychologist (Supervised Practice) with a PhD in Clinical Psychology from the University of Guelph. Dr. Emily’s practice is guided by various evidence-based treatments, and she utilizes an integrated therapeutic approach that is tailored to the needs of each individual and family. Dr. Emily takes a relational approach to all of her work and believes that a strong connection with families serves as an important foundation for effective treatment. She has experience providing therapy to children and adolescents with various concerns including anxiety, OCD, mood disorders, trauma, and emotional dysregulation. She also has extensive experience conducting comprehensive psychological and psychoeducational assessments with youth.   

Dr. Emily completed her residency at the IWK in Halifax which is the central provider of complex mental health services to children, youth and families in the maritime region. Additionally, she has trained at SickKids Center for Community Mental Health, Waterloo Region District Schoolboard, and Maplewoods Centre For Child Psychology at the University of Guelph. Dr. Emily’s clinical work is supervised by Dr. Dina Lafoyiannis.

In her spare time, she enjoys travelling, working out, and spending time with her husband and their wiener dog, Ava.
